You can set up chat rooms that users can then use to communicate with each other, like they would on a normal internet chat room.
Adding a chat room:
From the main menu select Communications
4 Chat Rooms 4 Add Chat Room.
The Add Chat Room page will
display.
In the Name field enter the name for the chat room.
Enter a Description to explain the chat room to users.
Enter text for users in the Welcome Message field.
Select who the chat room is applicable to in the Target Audience listbox, or leave as 'All' if you want it available to all users of the system.
Click Add.
A message will display telling you the chat room has been added to
the system.
