Managing Groups


Groups are a way of organising all the employees in the system into manageable classes, based on similar learning needs. This is especially useful when applying learning paths to employees, as you can apply a learning path to all users in a group at the same time. For example, you may want to set up a group for Graduates, as all your graduates will need to follow the same learning path and complete certain courses and assessments by the same time. Creating a group would allow you to set up one learning path that you could then apply to the group once, and it would be attached to all the users in that group.

You can also set up a list of Knowledge Bank items which are only relevant to a certain group of employees. You would then assign the items to the relevant group, and only the employees in that group would have access to them. This makes life easier for employees, as they will only see items that relate to them, rather than having to look through long lists of things, many of which may not be relevant to them.

From the List of Groups page you can view and manage the current groups, including managing the learning paths, catalogues and users that are attached to them. Use the icons in the page to access these features. The icons are:
