The News area is where you can view and edit news stories in the system.
Editing a news item:
From the main menu select Communications
4 News Manager 4 Current News.
The Current News Story page
will display.
From the Section
listbox, select the section containing the news item you want to edit.
You can use the Search feature
if you are not sure where it is. Enter text relating to the story then
click Go.
The news items in the selected section will display.
Find the story you want to edit in the list and click the Edit icon in that row.

If you want to archive a news item so it no longer appears on the
user's news page, but remains in the system, click the Move
to News Archive icon, |

Header |
Enter the title for the story here. |
Leader |
Enter a brief overview of the story in this field. |
Leader Image |
If you want an image to display with the story enter the file location in the field. |
Display Format |
Select how you want the link to the story displayed on the user's home page from this listbox. |
Body area |
Enter the text for the story here. Use the buttons on the Formatting toolbar to create the look you want. |
Publish Date |
Select the date you want the story to go live. |
Expiry Date |
Select the date when the story comes off the current
news page in. |
Target Audience |
Select who the story is applicable to, or leave as 'All' if you want the story available to all users of the system. |
Priority |
This determines the order of news items on the home page, with 'High' priority items at the top. |
Click Update.
A message will display telling you the story has been updated in the
system.
