If a user's information changes, you will need to go into their details and make the necessary changes so the system remains up to date. You do this from the Users menu.
Changing a user's details:
From the main menu select Users
4 Manage User.
The List of Users page will
display.

You can use the Filter feature to find a user, or click a letter or page number at the bottom of the page to jump to that part of the list. |
Find the user whose details you want to change
in the list and click the Edit
button in their row.
The Edit User page will display.
Make your changes by overtyping or entering the
details in the fields. To expand the various sections click the Expand icon, to the right
of a section title. The sections
are:
Login Details
- Displays the user name and password they will use to login to the system.
You also need to set an expiry date. After this date they will no longer
be able to login to the system.

Passwords are case sensitive, so make sure you enter any upper and lower case characters correctly, and don't accidentally have your [CapsLock] key on. |
Contact Details - Displays the users work location, phone number and time zone.
Employee Details - Displays their employee number, department, job title and division.
Personal
Details -The following table explains the fields in this area:

If you are using groups in
the Acumen Learning Portal, select the group the new employee belongs
to. |
Learning Path |
Select one or more Learning Paths that the user will follow. These will appear in their My Learning Paths page. |
Manager |
Select their manager. |
Manager Email |
Enter their manager's email address. |
Select Letter |
Select the letter you want emailed to the user when they have been added to the system. You will also need to check the Send Registration Details checkbox below to implement this feature. |
Send Automatic Emails |
Check this box if you want the user to receive the standard system emails for those scenarios where you have set them up. |
Send Registration Details |
Sends the welcome email you have selected in the Select Letter listbox above to the user. This is generally used to tell them their user name, password and client ID. |
Allow User Editing |
Select this checkbox if the user is allowed to edit the details in their My Settings and My Profile pages. |
Allow Others to View Profile |
Select this checkbox if you want other users of the system to be able to view this users Profile page. |
Click Update.
A message will display at the top of the page telling you the user
had been updated.
