How to import users


You can import users from an Excel spreadsheet, rather than have to add a number of people individually.
 

  

You can also import users directly into a group from the Import Users into Group page. If you want to assign all users you are importing into the same group, click the Click here to import users and assign them to an existing group link at the top of the Import Users page, or select Users > Import Users from the main menu.

Importing users from Excel:

  1. From the main menu select Users 4 Import Users.
    The Import Users page will display.

  2. In the Select Excel File to Import field, enter the path and file name of the file containing the users you want to import. You can navigate to the file if you prefer by clicking the Browse button.

  3. In the Expiry Date field, enter the expiry date to be applied to all the new users you import. After this date they will no longer be able to log in to the Acumen Learning Portal. Click the Calendar icon to select a date from the popup calendar.
    You will be able to individually change users' expiry dates later if you wish.

  4. From the Select Letter listbox select the letter you want to be emailed to all new users you import. You will also need to check the Send Registration Details via Email checkbox below to implement this feature.

  5. Check the Send Automatic Emails if you want the users to receive the standard system emails for those scenarios where you have set them up.

  6. Check the Allow User Editing if the users will be allowed to edit the details in their My Settings and My Profile pages.

  7. Check the Allow Others to View Profile checkbox if you want other users of the system to be able to view the imported users Profile page.

  8. Click Import.
    All users in the file will be imported into the system.
