Questions are used to compile evaluations. Evaluations are assessments for employees that are used in learning paths to assess an employee's level of knowledge at certain stages throughout the learning path.
You can create categories to group related questions, for example you
could create a category called 'Foreign Exchange', then add all your questions
on foreign exchange to the category to a make it easier to add them to
an assessment that needs to test this area. You can create questions then
add them to a category, or create/edit a category and add a new question
from there.

When creating new questions you can use the Wizard feature by clicking the Wizard button at the top of the page. This leads you through the steps required to create a new questions, including selecting the question type, entering the description, choosing the category and specifying the format. |
To add a new question:
From the main menu select Assessment
4 Questions.
The List of Questions page
will display.
Click the Add
new question link at the top right of the page.
The Add Question page will
display.
From the Select Section listbox, select an existing section to put the question in. You can also create a new section if there isn't a suitable one by selecting the Create New Section radio button, then entering the name for it in the Create New Section field that will appear.
Fill in the details for the question in the following
fields:

Select the relevant level for the question. |
Is comment field required? |
If you want to user to be able to add comments about their answer, select Yes here. If you select Yes a Comment text field will display where you can enter the text the user will see above where they enter their comment. |
Question Type |
Select from the listbox the answer type. The fields in the answer option area will change depending on what you select here. |
Position of response |
Select where you want the answer area displayed in relation to the question. |
Layout of response |
Select how you want the answer options displayed in relation to each other. |
Add new choice or Add Answer buttons |
Click the Add new choice button to add each possible answer where multiple answers are required. As you add possible answers they will be listed in the Existing Answer area. Where only one answer is applicable for the question type selected the Add Answer button will display. |
Explanation of answers |
If you want to enter text for the user to read about this question when they see the score and results of the assessment, enter it here. |
Click the Save
button.
The question will be created.
When you have entered all the available answers for
the question you are creating, click the Back
button to return to the List of Questions
page.

Within the List of Questions page you can move questions between categories by checking the checkbox of the questions to be moved in the far right column, then selecting the category to move them to in the Moved checked questions to category listbox at the bottom of the page. |
